Susanna
Ruohonen (M.A.)

Susanna Ruohonen grew up in a family of musicians - in the lush world of the international and colorful opera scene and classical music. She studied in four universities and holds a Master of Arts from the University of Helsinki. She has also played piano and clarinet for many years. Her knowledge
in classical music, singing and stage work she deepened in Berlin. At the acting school Pro-Stage Berlin she studied acting, dancing and singing and took part in various shows.

She studied singing with Kammersänger Peter Gougaloff and Professor Seppo Ruohonen. Currently she is studying voice with opera singer Samantha Britt. In the beginning of her studies she attended two master classes of Mirella Freni and Christa Ludwig.

According to Peter Gougaloff, "Susanna has a very special, recognizable voice". Some attest that her voice has the same warm tone characteristic like her father. She carries the musical legacy of her father, who sang over 100 tenor leading roles around the world. As a producer, manager, coordinator and production manager, she has participated in Live Nation, the Lohja Tenor Festival, the Helsinki Festival, she produced concerts on

world-famous stages such as the Berlin Philharmonie and was part of the team that brought the World Cultural Festival to Berlin's Olympic Stadium.

Susanna has lived and worked in Berlin for over ten years. She is working with her pianist Stefan Schmidt since 2010. Her wide musical repertoire reaches from classical opera arias to songs by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Brahms, Bellini and Verdi, among others. Susanna also gives the masterpieces of the Finnish composer Oskar Merikanto a very beautiful voice.
